Collingwood launches next-generation emergency downlight range

Self-test emergency luminaires with extended-life batteries target the UK commercial refurbishment sector.

The new range brings self-test functionality and extended-life batteries to Collingwood's emergency downlights, cutting the maintenance burden for facilities teams in refurbished commercial buildings.

Each luminaire runs its own monthly function test and annual duration test, logging results to a status LED so a walk-round replaces the manual key-switch routine.

What changes for the contractor

  • No separate test switch to wire in.
  • Battery life rated at five years under normal duty.
  • Same cut-out as the standard fire-rated downlight, so retrofits stay simple.
