Commercial lighting for spaces like offices, hospitals, institutions and government buildings demands functionality first and foremost. LED lighting offers tremendous advantages over traditional fluorescent fittings. LED lights last longer - often well in excess of 20,000 hours. Collingwood’s IP20 batten lights are an easily installed replacement for virtually any existing four, five or six foot fluorescent tube and will provide substantial energy savings as well as a significantly longer lifespan - on average fluorescent tubes last just 12,000 hours, compared with the Collingwood LED luminaires with a lamp lifespan of 54,000 hours.

Of course, all commercial buildings must incorporate a lit egress in the event of a power failure, so emergency lighting must be incorporated into any scheme. Emergency versions of both these downlights and batten lights are available.
